Our mission is to provide culinary adventures that inspire the foodie in all of us!
Come with us to taste, to discover, to explore, as we seek out those off the beaten path destinations. Culinary and cultural treasures will be shared, hidden gems revealed.
You will be in the company of friends as we wind the country roads and city streets. Together we will seek out the best of the native cuisine in local shops, restaurants and pubs. Specialty tours will show us how it's made. Your guides, Alessandra Meschini and Jody Goode have hand picked and tested each location. So many tastes and so little time! Andiamo! Let's GO!!

The Bootleggers Tour

Travel the country roads of Bonnie and Clyde fame as we venture to Northwest Iowa.
Our tour will begin at Jordan Creek Town Center in West Des Moines, where guests will gather. From there our Limo-bus driver will take us to Templeton, Iowa. Guests will be provided with delicious snacks packed especially for our road trip.
We will experience a guided tour and tasting at the Templeton Rye Distillery. When Prohibition outlawed the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages in 1920, many enterprising residents of a small Iowa town chose to become outlaws – producing a high caliber and much sought-after whiskey known as Templeton Rye. We will hear their story and sample “The Good Stuff.”
There is something for everyone, as history buffs will be pleased with discussions regarding the “White Pole Road” and the escapades of Bonnie and Clyde. Musical entertainment will be provided by Steve Petersen, guitarist from the Minneapolis group Whiskey Monday. Peterson is an expert in Moonshiner music.
Culinary adventurists will revel in the hand dipped chocolates provided by Drew’s Chocolates in Dexter as well as what some say is the best hamburger in Iowa at the Rusty Duck, also in Dexter.
Transportation will be provided by Absolute Limo Services.
Service fee of $135 includes transportation, tour of the distillery, breakfast, lunch, and all gratuities.
