From September 2018 a new SIAMS framework will be used when Church of England schools are inspected. There are some significant and important changes to the religious education within the new inspection schedule. For example, for the first time RE in voluntary controlled schools will be inspected.
This one-day course will give delegates an overview of the RE in the new SIAMS and offer practical advice and support to help schools address these changes. It will also assist RE leaders to consider their development planning in the light of the changes. By working with other colleagues there is also the opportunity to discuss and share good practice which will enhance the self-evaluation process. Although primarily for RE Subject leaders, the course is also open to SMT or governors who may like to consider the changes to RE in the new inspection framework in more detail.
