Having gained your RYA yachting qualifications one of the problems is what do you do now? How do you put all this knowledge to good use?
If you are lucky enough to own your own yacht then the answer is simple - get out there and enjoy yourself!
However, for the majority of newcomers to the sport who have yet to invest in a boat we have the perfect answer. You can spend a weekend or longer on board with one of our experienced instuctors sailing further afield than the Solent. Milebuilders allow you to gain more experience and at the same time visiting the West Country, France, the Channel Islands - in fact wherever the wind takes you!
You will be encouraged to take an active part in running the yacht including passage planning, steering and sail trimming on different points of sail as well as having the chance to practise any part of the RYA syllabus to help keep your skills up.
Those looking to attain their Yachtmaster Coastal or Offshore Certificates of Competence can also use the longer passages to satisfy the pre-exam requirements for skippered passages.
Courses start at 19:00 on the Sunday evening and finish by 17:00 on the Friday
