230 Intensives presents a 90 minute Hip Hop workshop with 4 times WORLD CHAMPION Joe Picter. As dancer and choreographer at the IASF Worlds Joe has achieved incredible success in the co-ed and all-male hip hop divisions. He is a silver ICU Worlds Medallist with Team England and reached the semi-finals of the BBC's live dance show 'The Greatest Dancer'. Joe has been competing in dance since he was 10 years old in many styles, and is an accomplished performer. Following his achievements with Angels Dance Academy, Joe is now instructing open workshops and sharing his insane choreography, slick Hip Hop technical styles and his performance expertise with the wider dance community.
This workshop will include a mobilisation warm up, work on developing technical hip hop styles (such as locking, popping, breaking) and tricks, moving onto a short routine choreography section with the chance to perform at the end.
Joe's coaching style puts everyone at ease so this workshop is open to those who have done hip hop or commercial before, as well as those brand new to the style who want to give it a try in a supportive environment.
Open to dancers aged 8+ to adult with some dance experience. This intensive is not suitable for those brand new to dance. Our aim is for everyone to be comfortable, enjoy the level of challenge and take some positive progress away from the day.
All participants receive a certificate of attendance.
Venue: School of Theatre Excellence (SOTE) 5-6 Allcock St. Deritend, Birmingham, B9 4DY.
