COVID-19 has brought some of the inequalities in our society into sharper focus than ever with some sections of society more likely than others to be impacted upon not just by higher mortality rates but also by an increased likelihood of being inactive and the negative impact this has on health generally. Sport England's response to this included devolving some budget to each Active Partnership to support local organisations working with these communities at higher risk - disabled people and those with long term health conditions, ethnically diverse communities and people from lower socio-economic groups.
Join us to hear from some of the community organisations and projects that have been funded locally as they tell us what the impact of COVID has been on health and physical activity for the communities they work with, and the role activity can play in recovery.
