Workbook for Dr. Neil Glickman's Preconference
Available until Tue 25 Apr 12am

Dr. Glickman's presentation is based on his new workbook, "Preparing Deaf and Hard of Hearing Persons with Language and Learning Challenges for CBT." It is not required, but strongly recommended.

Post Conference: Steve Sligar, Ed.D., Ethical Dilemma Problem Solving for Rehabilitation Professionals Practicing in a Blurry World of Reality and Social Media
Available until Sun 21 May 12am

NOTE: This presentation is designed for practicing counselors, vocational evaluators, and other professionals with a MS degree.

As a rehabilitation counselor or related professional, you are required to practice ethically in order to provide quality services for clients and to keep yourself out of trouble. HPSO, the primary malpractice insurance company for counselors, released a study in 2014 of claims paid. The top three areas were inappropriate sexual/romantic relationship with a client, failure to practice within the boundaries of competence, and sharing of confidential information. Using case studies and discussion, this workshop will focus on client/counselor relationships, boundaries, risks to confidentiality, and social media. An application of a problem solving model will be applied to manage the dilemma. Additional information on changes in the CRCC code of ethics will be included.
