Tai chi at Natterjack Alpacas
Our amazing 1 hour 15 minute long Tai chi settings are run by Mike Woodward of White Tiger TaijiSchool. Mike himself can vouch for the exceptional benefits of tai chi, which has been proven to improve your health and wellbeing "the gentle way".
Such areas Mike thinks you may see a difference in are:
-Improves balances and coordination
-Calming - reduces stress and anxiety
-Relaxing - lowers blood pressure
-Improves joint mobility and arthritis, and reduces falls
-Strengthens bones, and helps you (and Mike) cope with chronic pain
There is no upper age limit, and Mike welcomes beginners to his classes.
Whilst these classes are 'one off' and not done on a course basis, you are welcome to book onto as many classes as you like. If you wish to continue your tai chi journey, you can contact Mike to join his more regular sessions which meet locally.
These sessions will have other members of the public present.
A. Open to those aged 14 and over
B. To ensure you and the other members of the group are able to enjoy the tai chi sessions, we do not reccomend this activity to those that may be jumpy around animals.
C. The total time spent in the session is approximately 1 hr 15 minutes. Whilst we realise how lovely it is to be able to meet friends and loved ones again, you must be prepared to depart fairly swiftly after the session due to the nature of COVID-19 risk assessments at this time.
D. Suitable footwear is compulsory, however you must be able to move freely. Therefore we reccomend trainers or walking shoes. Toes MUST be covered, open toed shoes are not suitable footwear around alpacas and as such we cannot allow entry into the paddocks
E. Due to the nature of the ground, walking aids and wheelchairs are not permitted
F. Wear and bring plenty of insect repellent
G. No dogs allowed on site, including guide and assistance dogs
H. We are in England and as such we always expect rain, so we won't cancel unless the weather is extreme (this may include extreme heat as shade is limited in the paddocks)
I. All attendees must aim to arrive a maximum of 15 minutes before the start of the activity, early-comers (for example 30-45 minutes early) will not be allowed to meet the alpacas sooner, and will be asked to either pop back closer to the activity start time or wait in their car. So please plan a sensible arrival time.
J. We require 96 hours (4 days) notice of a cancellation. Cancellations are fully refundable.
K. If you or anyone in your household is showing coronavirus symptoms you must get in touch to cancel. Proof of requiring to self isolate/a positive test will be required
L. Any disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and we will ask anyone being disruptive (which we may deem to be ruining the activity for others, or making the alpacas feel uncomfortable) to leave the session immediately with no refund
M. Due to the current coronavirus situation the toilet is only available on an emergency basis
