Funding for this class is being provided through a grant; there is no fee to participate. This session is for children entering 6th grade.

The purpose of learning yoga & mindfulness is to give students the skills to develop calm awareness of their inner and outer experiences. Yoga & Mindfulness provide tools to empower students to respond to the demands and stresses of life creating a balance that supports well-being.

In this series of classes, students will learn skills they can use everyday:
• Learn how to foster good communication skills between child & parent.
• Mindfulness for focus and emotional self-regulation.
• Gentle Yoga & breathing to develop concentration and self-confidence.
• Techniques to relax and deal with stress in a productive way.

Instructor, Ruthann O’Brien Hadish E-RYT, E-CYT, E-PYT is the owner and founder of Ames Yoga Center has been teaching and studying yoga & meditation tools for over 22 years. She is a certified Children’s Yoga teacher and a graduate of the Mindful school program.
