Rock Climbing

During these COVID-19 times, to keep both you and us safe we ask these conditions of anyone joining our sessions:

1. Social distancing between members of different households must be maintained throughout all elements of the activity to current government regulations.
2. Adhere to best personal hygiene practices by: i. Hand washing on arrival at the centre ii. Hand washing following any contact of shared equipment or spaces/items/areas iii. Not touching your face without freshly washed hands iv. Making all attempts to cover mouth if coughing/sneezing
3. Arrive on time, avoid being early as other clients will be around. At the end of the session please leave promptly to avoid being near other clients.
4. Hands on assistance from AO staff during the activity will be limited only to emergency situations in light of the above
5. Participants are expected to be able to move in the activity environment unaided, be this scrambling on rocks, and swimming (where relevant). Hands on assistance will be limited to between household members.
6. Participants are expected to be able to fit all equipment with professional guidance, and physical assistance only from household members. Your instructor will make only visual checks of PPE items.
7. Activities will be modified to enable the above, by being made easier, and removing elements that would ordinarily necessitate physical contact (except for in an emergency). Our limit of top end weather and sea conditions has been reduced to aid in the above.
   
8. In the event of participants failing to meet the required standards of movement, and the instructor deems the session to be unsafe as a result, the participant will be denied participation or the session ended prematurely.
9. Participants will be denied participation if: i. Are currently COVID-19 positive ii. Are awaiting results of a COVID-19 test iii. Have been in contact with someone COVID-19 positive or suspected to be within the past 72 hours. iv. Are in a high risk category for increased illness or death from COVID-19 v. Present with any of the following symptoms: i. Fever, chills or body aches (temperatures may be taken) ii. New persistent cough iii. Sore throat iv. Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing v. Any flu like symptoms vi. Loss of smell or taste vii. Diarrhoea and/or vomiting
10. You agree to complete this form per household, which will be held on record for 1 week.
11. Should you develop any of the symptoms above within 72 hours of leaving AO you MUST contact us immediately so we can inform other visitors and staff who may be affected. This will be kept anonymous.
12. Understand that should another visitor or staff member with whom you may have been in contact with reports symptoms within 72 hours, you will follow government advice at the time (which may be to self-isolate or be tested for COVID-19 at first opportunity). Again, this will be anonymous and no details of the symptomatic person will be disclosed.
