Asian Jasmine Yoga
My name is IIR PRIHATINAWATI, I am a registered UK Yoga Alliance (RYT200) yoga teacher from Indonesia who trained in Bali but recently moved to Cambridge.
I have been practicing yoga for a while and it has become an integral part of my outlook on life. I see yoga as a deeply personal, non-competitive experience, equally suited to all levels of experience and ability. My classes are characterised by four key elements. The first is the connection between breathing and movement. Focusing on your breathing encourages you to focus on your own body rather than those around you, making you more aware of its strengths but also its limits. The second is hand assists and adjustments. By moving around the class as I teach, I will help you align precisely for your movements for practice at home. The third is mindfulness. As you focus on understanding your body and precisely align your body for your movements, you are encouraged to understand yoga as a personal journey of physical and mental fulfilment and improvement. And the fourth is self-appreciation. Everyone has their own journey in life and in yoga, but all living bodies are a wonder. Appreciate yours not what it can’t do, but for what it can.
