Details of the routines can be obtained from your coach or our website competition page
All competitions can only run with the help of a large number of helpers, from qualified coaches and judges to competition Marshalls and Recorders. Every club has to provide a number of competition officials to support its entry and without these the club is not allowed to enter the competition.
As part of entering any competition at Comets a nominated helper must be provided. This helper may or may not be chosen but it is agreed that should they be, they offer help on the day for up to a maximum of 3 to 4 hours. If your child is competing for first time you will not be ask to help this time round.
Please do not worry if you have never done a role before, someone will be around at the start to help you.
Roles are as follows:
• Recorder - (Manuel and Computer) The Recorders’ role is to mark down the scores as they are called out by the Chair of Judges, either by computer or by hand, asking for clarification immediately if they are not clear, and then to calculate the individuals’ scores.
• Competition Marshall - This is organising up to about 14 performers per group/flight to warm-up by rotation, then sit on a bench and get them up in the right competing order to perform their routines.
The more people who help the less each person needs to do and the more smoothly competitions can run.
