Para Rider Development Day with coach Erik MacKechnie BHSI BEF Para Coach & para dressage judge Shona Grant MacKintosh.

We are delighted that this event will be held at the Scottish Equestrian Centre & Hotel, Lanark - with the kind permission of the proprietors of the Centre and Clydesdale RDA.

Para Intro Show
British Dressage & British Equestrian Federation have developed a Para-Dressage Intro competition which is aimed to help riders ‘bridge the gap’ between the RDA & the BD competition structure.

To compete in the para intro show riders must be profiled with a physical classification and classified Grade I –V under FEI/BD Rules and must compete in the Grade Class that they are Classified (Grade I – V). The competition is restricted to BD Para Group E riders or those new to the sport (please see page 82 of BD rule book).

The RDA Open class is open to riders who are eligible to compete in the RDA walk, trot and canter test 31 (2002) at RDA dressage competitions. It is a requirement that riders must be members of an RDA centre

This venue has horses for hire - however individuals must arrange themselves - BD will not enter into any dialogue concerning hire or suitability of horses. I recommend that those riders seeking to hire a horse for this day, contact Scottish Equestrian Centre and Hotel 01555 661853 and book an assessment riding lesson (£25) to ensure you are matched with the right horse appropriate to your ability. The other excellent facility available is the hotel for B&B and evening meals - at present they have rooms available on the 18th July - these rooms are on the first floor with stairs only (no lift). If you are interested in the accommodation, do please book early as these rooms are not being held for our use. Stabling is also available but again booked direct with the Centre.
