Adult Beginner Workshop - Make a Messenger Bag! - Ages 17 and up - For Beginners

Beehive Craft Studio’s Adult Beginner Workshop is a great way for you to learn how to use a sewing machine safely, how to thread your machine and wind a bobbin, how to sew a straight line and turn corners, etc. In this one day workshop students will be making a messenger bag.

For absolute beginners or those that need a refresher.

Teacher: Kim Place. Kim has been teaching sewing lessons since 2016. She's taught in West Austin and Dripping Springs and is loving her new location in Central Austin.

$65 for 3.5 hour workshop

Additional fabric supplies required:
1/2 yard for outside of bag
1/2 yard for inside lining of bag
1/2 yard fusible interfacing on the bolt (44" wide) *suggested Pellon Fusible Fleece 987F
1.5 yards of 1" or 1.5" webbing

Additional sewing notions will be supplied during the workshop.
Feel free to bring your own if you have them.

Please be sure you have a working sewing machine that has been used within the last 3 months. If you are unsure about your machine, you can borrow on or ours. Please reach out to infobeehivecraftstudio@gmail.com if you need to borrow a machine for class.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o COVID Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that health conditions would make attending class dangerous for teachers and students. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
