Stitch Skills: Hems & Seams
Wednesday 7/17, 4pm-8pm
$85 (includes $10 supply fee)

There are many different kinds of hems and seams for all kinds of sewing projects. This class will focus on several options commonly used in garment-making including: french seam, flat felled seam, bias-bound seam, rolled hem, blind hem, and double needle hem. You will learn both how to do these techniques and what type of fabrics or projects for which they are best suited. This class is great for all levels of sewists looking to learn about or upgrade their finishing skills!

Supplies:

• Fabric kit (included in class fee)
• Sewing machine and standard accessories
• Blind hem foot
• Rolled hem foot
• Thread
• Seam gauge
• Scissors
• Removable Marking Pen
• Twin needle (universal or ballpoint, size 80/12, no wider than 5mm)
• Microtex needle, size 70/10
• Universal needle, size 80/12
• 1/2" double fold bias tape (purchase a package or make your own, will need about 2 yds length)

*Students receive a 10% discount for supplies at Beehive Craft Studio. Be sure to shop at least 30 minutes prior to class start time.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 4 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o COVID Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that health conditions would make attending class dangerous for teachers and students. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
