Brioche knitting produces some spectacular results especially with highly variegated and speckled yarns hand dyed yarns. There are some amazing patterns out there that uses this technique, however, looking at a brioche pattern can be rather intimidating with its different abbreviations and terminologies.
This half day workshop will prepare you with the basics of brioche knitting. It's about slipping stiches and carrying yarn over the top of the needle and re-working the same rows to create the brioche effect.
In this class, you will be practising the two colour brioche stitch which will be knitted flat. You will also decipher the most commonly used abbreviations associated with this technique.
You will also practice the most simple increases and decreases, while keeping the pattern correct.
Spaces are limited due to the nature of brioche knitting and to ensure that each participant receives sufficient attention.
