Steph Bradley - Keeping women in the saddle
A presentation and discussion to share the findings of Steph's research of 1629 female equestrians perimenopause and menopause symptoms that have affected riding performance and motivation to stay riding. An opportunity to discuss life experiences and raise awareness as to potential symptoms and pathways to resolve.
Steph Bradley is an SMS Master Saddle Fitter, British Equestrian Level 4 Coach and a CIMSPA Chartered Coach Developer. She competes at dressage and has dreams of competing at Grand Prix with her horse Beau. Steph owns and runs Whitegate Farm Livery and Training Centre in Hope near Wrexham, running her saddle fitting business Freedom Saddlery from her base there.
As part of her MSc she researched the impact of the peri/menopause on female equestrians, her interest in the area piqued by her personal experiences as a rider, and observations as a coach and saddle fitter.
The research created a phenomenal response from 1629 female equestrians within only 16 days, and a 78% completion rate - almost unheard of in academic research. It is in the process of being peer reviewed, and has already won a number of academic prizes - the most prestigious being the 2024 Annual Conference for Women In Sport and Exercise Academic Network - gaining first prize for poster presentation.
Please note there are no refunds, although we do usually record the online talks and may be able to send the link to the recording if so, although this is not guaranteed.
Thank you for your booking. The Teams joining link to Steph's talk will be sent to you in advance of the day.
Top tip - please download the Teams App in advance to save you time on the day.
