This weekend workshop will teach you how to bind your own sketchbook and visually record your adventures from your travels. Working with your own selective media and visual material (such as photographs, collage material and souvenirs), you will create illustrated compositions and highlights, whilst exploring new illustration techniques.
The workshop is open to all levels and will explore composition, collage, tone and detail with the aim of strengthening sketching confidence and picture making skills.
We’ll begin with a book-binding session, followed by an introduction to composition and idea development. Bring in your personal projects and selected media and you be assisted through your creative processes.
By the end of the weekend you will have bound a book and have begun recording your travel stories, setting you up with the key documentation skills to continue your future projects.

Sheets of paper: to be bound into a book (the number of sheets will differ depending on the thickness of the book)
