This Raku workshop takes place over two consecutive Sundays. The first day is making day - creating pieces by hand or on the wheel with support from tutor Bill Moore. The second day is glazing and firing - taking your pieces through all the dramatic stages of the Japanese Raku process (outdoor firing, placing in burning sawdust, plunging into water, and cleaning to reveal the results). Both days start at 10am. The making day will end at around 3.30pm, the firing day can go on until 6pm, depending on how many firings we do. Completed pieces can be taken home with you. Please note - you will need to bring lunch on both days, and on the second day this will be an item to share as part of a communal table.
