Throughout this retreat Fr. Vincent Pizzuto, PhD. will reflect on spiritual and theological accents associated with the ancient Celtic church as a way of exploring the deepest desires and concerns of modern Christians. What might we discover about ourselves through a sustained meditation on the Celtic Christian emphasis on soul-friendship, intimacy with the Divine, the sacramentality of Creation, and its pervasive appreciation for art, music, and beauty? Participants will be invited to explore Celtic Christian spirituality not merely as a historical phenomenon but as a contemplative lens of self-discovery and a pathway to a more authentic Christianity for the modern world.
