A course for Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals working with children and young people who have both SEMH and SLCN. The aim of the course is to ensure practitioners have a clear understanding of the issues and their implications in order to deliver effective, evidence-based practice. Whether you’re new to this field or not, it’s always important to think about the fundamentals. Also, there are always new ideas and research to consider and possibly embed into practice.

Developing a clear understanding of the implications of SEMH plus SLCN is relevant to every speech and language therapist working with children and young people. Having an understanding of how to help children and young people develop skills to manage their emotions, and improve social problem solving is of universal relevance.
