Details

Create your very own sculptural wood and glass paddle. We use a recycled wood paddle and replace the blade with glass. This workshop is open to everyone but glass cutting experience is very helpful. Artists with previous glass fusing experience can use their skills to add more detail to their paddle. A variety of basic techniques will be offered as well as pre-fired elements such as leaves, vitrigraph, bubbles and beads will be on hand for everyone. Custom carpentry on each paddle is provided for a perfect fit.
In session one the paddle shape will be chosen and glass colours cut and assembled. In session two additional details will be added and the blade will go back into the kiln for the second time. Approximately one week later the paddle will be ready to pick up.
Paddle, glass, carpentry, and instruction is provided.
