Detaljer

Gwendolyn van Paasschen, the current owner will talk about Denmans, the former home and garden of the late John Brookes MBE, one of Britain’s most influential landscape designers. The contemporary 4-acre garden was converted from market garden to ornamental garden by plantswoman Joyce Robinson who started the gravel gardens in 1970.It was recently listed Grade II.

James Neal, gardener at Michelham Priory will talk about this site of a former Augustine Priory in Upper Dicker, East Sussex. The surviving buildings are owned and administered by the Sussex Archaeological Society and are Grade I and Grade II listed. The 7 acre gardens are enclosed by England’s longest water-filled moat, which teams with wildlife and indigenous waterlilies. Cloister and Physic gardens weave together features of medieval gardening. Over 40 yrs of developments have created a variety of features including herbaceous borders, orchard, kitchen garden and tree lined Moat Walk.
