Come to our Virtual Conference on 19th November!

If you weren't able to attend our in-person April 2022 conference held in London, this afternoon online event is a fantastic opportunity to experience some of the highlights from the comfort of your own home.

Hosted by Mark, a long-standing member, our virtual conference will include a recording of the morning panel of parents from April, discussing their route to parenthood. We'll hear from a solo mum through sperm donation, a heterosexual couple mum through egg donation and a gay couple dad who used egg donation and surrogacy. The feedback we received from the presentations was excellent and we thought it was definitely worth giving more members the chance to hear from Sue, Wes and Debbie, who will then be present to do a live Q&A.

We also had great feedback about Dr Sophie Zadeh's fascinating research into how DC children are doing and recognised that all our members would find this valuable. We will be showing a recording of her talk, followed by a live Q&A by her colleague Dr Catherine Jones (as Dr Zadeh is now on maternity leave).

Our conferences are always a lovely opportunity for people to meet others and, although this event is online, we are going to recreate some of that in our virtual small group "meet and greet" break-out rooms. This will preserve the really valuable element of networking, sharing and support that our in-person conferences offer.

Come and join us for a really stimulating afternoon!

The details:

• The conference is on Saturday 19th November and is being held in the afternoon from 2pm to 5.30pm to make it more accessible to those outside the UK and those who have activities on a Saturday morning.

• It’s open to all members and is appropriate whether you’re at the early stages of considering donor conception or have children already. If you attended the London conference in April and want to experience the highlights again, do sign up.

• This is an adult event and the small groups in particular need a bit of private space, so do make sure any children are suitably occupied and not in the same room as you for the duration of the conference.

• Tickets are £20 per booking and numbers are capped to make sure the Zoom experience isn’t overwhelming.

See you there,

Jo & the DCN Team
