Mediation Accredited Training

Interested in developing confidential and discrete in-house mediation provision? Our six-session online Accredited Mediation Training is for education professionals who want to develop their existing skills for use in-house or outside of your own organisation. Provided by our expert training partner Eisele Consulting the course covers the theory and practice of effective conflict resolution.

The course offers a valuable development opportunity both personally and professionally aimed at enhancing day to day workplace productivity and for early intervention in potentially damaging conflict situations

Successful completion of all six sessions results in National Accreditation in Workplace Mediation (NAWM) accredited by the Open College Network and holds 9 credits, equivalent to NVQ Level 3

Session one: psychology of conflict and mediation principles, ethics and process
Session two: key skills: PIN, listening, summarising, questions; overview of stage 1 and practice
Session three: working with language, assumptions and beliefs, reframing and overview of stage 2 and practice
Session four: facilitation skills: overcoming impasse, managing emotion and behaviour, empathy and resolution
one weeks break: practice
Session five: Problem-solving and writing an agreement
Session six: Getting ready for assessments. consolidation, troubleshooting and practice

Blended learning approach:
• Pre-reading before each module. We will also use videos of the mediation practice.
• Six x 2.5 hour Zoom sessions
• Each person will have access to four mentor session throughout the programme
• We will either pair people up or develop triads so that delegates can practice between sessions

Break- practice

S6: 8th June, 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Assessments:

Depending on numbers who sign up we will allocate slots to groups of four.
This is excellent experience and practice for online mediation. Dates to be confirmed.

The learning portfolio (13 questions) will remain the same.

Support
• 3-6 months after the course we will come together for a refresh and reassure session
• Following the course each person will also have 12 month supervision
