Students who book in person will be able to attend at the venue, but will also receive the zoom link incase they cannot attend in person. Those who book a zoom ticket will only be able to attend the zoom class as in person spaces are limited

Burlesque is about glamour, burlesque is about comedy, but most of all, burlesque is about tease...
The introductory burlesque course covers pin-up walks, bombshell poses, seductive glove and stocking removal techniques and fun routines as well. It is not necessary to have any dance or stage experience as we'll teach you everything you need to know. We practice the art of strip tease in class, but nudity is not allowed to ensure everyone feels comfortable- save it for the stage!
You will need:
💜 Opera gloves (long, just below elbow or longer. Fingerless gloves wont work!)
💜Stockings (hold ups are great, no need for suspender belts etc. Fishnets are not advisable)
💜Corset (optional)
💜High-heels are encouraged if you can wear them, but keep them to a manageable heel height.
If you are learning on Zoom you will also need:
💜2 x fans (small folding fans are fine, although if you have the big ones then great! Feather fans or oriental paper/fabric fans all fine). This kind of thing https://www.instagram.com/p/CUI3SXFpND0/
💜One sturdy armless chair (such as a dining room chair)
For your first class you only need heels (if you can wear them) and we will discuss everything else you will need in the coming weeks! Wear clothes you can move in- leggings and vest is ideal.
Once you have finished the course there is the option to join the ongoing open level classes and have the chance to perform in a show! Many of Doe's students go on to perform solo as well as with the group.
