Details

Solar dehydrating is one of the most energy efficient ways to preserve food. We begin with an introduction on solar dehydrating principles and techniques. Participants will then construct their own solar dehydrator based on the design of noted homesteaders Larisa Walk and Bob Dahse. Finished dehydrators will be approx four feet by four feet and fairly heavy, so plan some means of transport to get yours home.
