The day will consist of 2 parts a morning and afternoon session.
The morning session is a Level 1 Award in Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health. This qualification will provide learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. It will also allow learners to understand how to recognise and manage stress.
The afternoon session is a Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator. Learners will be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally and a casualty who is not breathing normally. Learner's will know how to safely use an automated external defibrillator and be able to safely use one.
Learner's will receive 2 certificates lasting 3 years from the date of achievement.
