Aerial Silks courses consist of 4 x 70 minute classes. There are no refunds or transfers once payment has been made.

This course is a beginner course and we will be focusing on hitch knot and basic footlock combos.
If you book on to a course then it is your responsibility to attend each class but it doesnβt matter if you miss a class, the cost of the course stays the same whether you can make the full course or only part of it.
Classes begin with a fun dance / aerobic warm up, followed by learning tricks, poses and positions in the aerial silks, then we finish with a cool down, consisting of stretches and strengthening exercises.
Our aerial silks classes are suitable for complete beginners! You donβt need to be able to climb or hold your own bodyweight to start with. The silks we use at Emilyβs Pole Fitness are from Firetoys β made from a durable, ladder-resistant fabric, they are very strong and will not break. ANYONE can try silks β any size, any shape, any fitness level!
There are no more than 3 students per silks, and no more than 12 in a class. Plenty of space! Complete beginner students are all welcome.
Anyone can give aerial silks classes a go: any shape, any size, any fitness level. Emilyβs Pole Fitnessβ classes will help you build your confidence and reach your full potential in the aerial silks!
Level: Beginner
Please arrive 5 minutes early so you get to class on time. If you are late then you will not be able to take part in the class and will forfeit your payment. We canβt allow you to take part in class if you are late as we are not covered by our insurance. If you are late then please do not argue with your instructor, we do not like turning students away when they are late so please don't make it more awkward by arguing with us as it is your responsibility to arrive to class on time.
For aerial hoop / silks / trapeze, you need to wear tight fitting leggings, thicker the better and a long sleeved top is also good to wear. It is a good idea to wear a leotard to protect your waist and stomach. No socks as you need the grip when performing poses and tricks. Please be aware that if you do not cover your skin you are very likely to obtain friction burns. These can occur anyway while covering up but if you donβt then the friction burns and bruises can be worse.
Please bring warm clothing for your warm up and cool down, ie; jogging bottoms and a hoodie / long sleeved top.
Footwear: Barefoot is best for the warm up for classes but you can wear socks at your own risk. The floors are laminate so be aware if wearing socks that it can be slippery, you'll also have less grip on the equipment if you're wearing socks.

There is no parking on site but we are based in the town centre and there are plenty of car parks close by.
The building we are attached to (Plaza 21) is having work done and they are hoping to be finished by March 2025. This means that there is scaffolding outside of our studio which will remain there until the work has finished. It isn't pretty but it is temporary and does not affect the inside of our studio at all. The contractors (LSR) have assured us that they have 24 hour surveillance cameras and extra lighting on their scaffolding. All classes are running as usual.
