This immersive experience is designed to take participants beyond standard camping into more knowledgeable and interactive realms of the outdoors. We will be out for the duration of these two days learning primitive firemaking and better fire tending, natural shelter, direction finding, foraging, safe water sourcing, protein acquisition, and other integrated wilderness skills. The human environment will be patient and supportive and emphasis will be placed on finding comfort with conditions, cooperative task sharing, safety, and nature observation. We will pack lightly, bringing only the necessities and utilize what the landscape has to offer us for nourishment, bedding, and utensils.
