Datos

There is more to Ponsonby’s history than cappuccinos. Join food writer André Taber and chef and local food-lover Lisa Loveday on this guided tour and discover some of the migrants from all over the world who made the suburb what it is today. This tour finishes with selection of tapas at Dida's wine lounge and either a glass of wine or coffee/tea included in the price. (Please note due to unforeseen circumstances this afternoon tea may be different from what was advertised but equally delicious)

From Chinese fruiterers, Dalmatian fishmongers and Canadian coffee roasters to English shopkeepers and chefs, they started feeding the vibrant working-class and immigrant community and turned the Strip into the premium restaurant destination it is today. The treasured heritage buildings of Three Lamps hosted fascinating food businesses.
