North East Wilds is collaborating with Northumberland National Park to offer monthly, magical Forest School mornings for the whole family.
Bring your little ones along to enjoy the wonder of outdoor play, nurtured by nature and supported by an experienced Forest School leader at this incredible site in the heart of Northumberland National Park.
Each of our monthly family Forest School events will be inspired by the exhibitions in the Sill, include take-away nature crafts, exploratory free play with mud kitchens, treasure hunts and adventures in our dedicated Forest School site. We also include a complimentary tea and coffee for parents and treats prepared on the fire for the whole family.
Included in your ticket price is free parking. If you’d like to extend your stay at the Sill you can also enjoy a discount on The Sill’s activity trail kits and worksheets, spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful landscapes near the Sill, hidden fairy trails and their brand new outdoor play park (please note, outdoor play park will only be available from April/May onwards).
These sessions are for families and under 6s (or near enough!) and there's no cost for siblings under 1.
We go ahead with our sessions in sunshine, rain, snow...but may have to cancel if the winds are too high. This is to keep everyone safe, if we need to cancel we will be in touch as soon as we can confirm on the morning of the session to let you know.
Please see here for details on how to travel to the Sill: https://www.thesill.org.uk/visit/
