The Yorkshire Three Peaks, a famous circular route taking in the iconic peaks of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, provides a challenging day out. 25 miles and 1400m of ascent will leave you with fabulous memories to go with the aching legs. You will be guided by experienced, friendly and knowledgeable mountain leaders. Each mountain leader is outdoor first aid qualified and carries a first aid kit and emergency shelter.

Instructions

Meet Ribblehead viaduct layby at 7am ready for a walking departure by 7.30am, at the latest.
Mandatory kit:
Hiking Boots - supportive, comfortable, broken in.
Full waterproof cover - hooded coat and over trousers
Hiking socks
Lightweight walking trousers
Thin base layer
Warm fleece or synthetic mid layer
Gloves
Hat
Personal first aid kit / medication
Sufficient Food and drink for a 12 hour day.
Well fitting backpack sufficient size to carry the above plus any additional kit you may wish to bring. Note you should practice some hill treks with your kit before attending in order to ascertain whether you can cope with the additional kit weight.
