TUTOR
Sorcha is a musician and songwriter, based in Dundee. She is Highly experienced in making music projects accessible to as many people as possible. She loves projects which explored both big and small topics and especially enjoys song writing with groups, often being inspired by nature. SOUNDSCAPES
This workshop is all about exploring nature through sound and sensory exploration. The workshop will use activities and challenges set by the practitioner in the outdoors to explore elements of nature, including thinking of nature conservation and climate change. We will use sounds from the outdoors, traditional instruments, technology and natural materials to create a collaborative piece of music based on ideas explored in the outdoors. participants will have the choice as to whether this composition is instrumental or has vocal elements, which will also be explored with the practitioner. Sorcha will be accompanied by her Guide dog Suzie.
Please note, these workshops will need a minimum of 6 attendees to run. If the minimum subscription is not reached, the class will unfortunately not go ahead.
In the event of cancellation, we will notify the bookers email up to 4 days before the event.
Age range: Between ages 12 years and 16 years
Please note that a working dog will be present during this workshop, so please do not book if your child has a fear or allergy of dogs.
