This two hour Yin and Yang yoga class offers two teachers for the price of one!! Alison (of Foxwood Yoga) will lead this workshop alongside Sally Dernie, a fellow teacher who, like Alison, qualified to teach this unique blend of yoga, with the highly respected Yoga Academy.
Yin and Yang Yoga is a practice that balances the slow paced Yin yoga with traditional Yang yoga ( Hatha) and offers the opportunity to practice the two different styles of yoga in one class. It generally starts with a Yang practice to get the body moving and warmed, before transitioning to the slower paced Yin practice. During the second half of the class the body is supported with bolsters and blankets to allow it to gently stretch and relax, easing away any tension and tightness.
By combining the two styles, Yin and Yang yoga improves energy and fitness whilst promoting relaxation and healing.
Whilst one Teacher is leading the class, the other will offer assistance and optional adjustments where required.
This class is suitable for all levels and complete beginners are actively encouraged.
All profit from this class will be donated to the Hospice in the Weald, where Alison works on a voluntary basis.
