Schubert's carefree 5th Symphony contrasts with Beethoven's 7th Symphony, one of the masterpieces of the classical era.
In between comes Robin Hartwell's Insiders and Outsiders, written for Merseyside's expert trumpeter, Paul Thomas. This is a very exciting piece which uses the space of the Cathedral to create special sounds and a unique atmosphere.
