Informations

In this workshop we will enter the world of hands-on skills and awarenesses that bridge the gap between ourselves and the natural world. Carve beautiful implements of native wood that spin and begin your fire. Wrap cordage for many uses from local plant fiber. Pull coals from the fire to eat away the cavity of a spoon or bowl. Use your eyes, ears, nose, and hands to perceive the Earth, and our relations there upon, in new ways. This one day experience is an easy-going but serious participatory workshop that will get you started on these basic skills that can provide a lifetime of fascinating learning in direct relation to our rich prehistoric past. Sufficient preparatory for greater adventures in the wilds alone, or in guided programs. A great experience for young, old, and families. Workshop will take place in semi-sheltered outdoor space with some venturing out for materials and lessons.
