Gilli is a freelance illustrator who has over 10 years experience as a lecturer in further education and has also tutored art classes and workshops in different environments.
In this one day workshop, students will be introduced to techniques which can be used to create a botanical illustration.
Using watercolour paints, colour pencils, graphite and fine liner pens, students will learn about mark making and different ways to apply and handle the art materials.
Gilli will guide you through with demonstrations and encouragement.
In this workshop, students can work at their own pace whether this is creating one botanical illustration or producing experimental work.
Please bring with you the following materials:
• Watercolour paper or water colour sketchbook - minimum size A4.
• Or heavyweight/thick white card suitable for using watercolours on.
• Watercolour paints and palette.
• Graphite Pencils
• Fine liners - black and colour
• Pencil Sharpener
• Masking Fluid
