Informations

For the camping family of the 1930s, the teardrop trailer was the camper of choice. The variety of style, convenience, price, and the ease of towing behind smaller cars, pickups, or SUVs makes the teardrop trailer a wise choice back then as well as today. As a group, along with the instructor, students will build a complete teardrop trailer, from parts to finished piece. Upon completion, the trailer will be sold by the Michigan Folk School to help expand more classes just like this one. Students will leave with knowledge, material and equipment resources, and reference material to easily complete their own unit at home at substantial savings.

Students will learn:
-Design
-Ruler & Regulations
-Part Fabrication
-Carpentry
-Insulation
-Electrical
-Exterior Sheeting
-Epoxy Welding
