Informations

Facilitator: Valeria Perboni

These workshops use a range of practices, including sound, breathing, movement, synchrony, contact, scent exploration, and theatre-based exercises, to draw attention, focus and awareness to all of our senses, generating a feeling of connection with yourself, others and your environment. The approaches used during the session are grounded in neuroscience and psychology research and have been tested in clinical and therapeutic contexts with highly positive results.

Our approach focuses on the power of sensory experiences to unlock creativity and promote
wellbeing. By connecting with our senses, our workshops can help individuals express themselves
through art in all its multisensory forms and build connections with others.
Our workshops offer several benefits, including reducing stress, anxiety, and depression, improving overall mental health, and fostering creativity. Participants can develop skills that can be applied to various aspects of their lives, including problem-solving, innovation, and personal growth.

The facilitator:

Valeria Perboni, Brunel University’s Artist in Residence and Music Tree's teacher, has successfully run these workshops for staff and students of the university. These sessions are designed to create a safe and inclusive space for people to explore
their creativity, develop skills, ideas, and collaborations, and connect with others, without the fear of
judgement or the pressure of producing art at the end (however, in most cases, participants feel they want to create!)
