The Irish Dance Academy Class Bookings

Welcome to The Irish Dance Academy (T.I.D.A)
‘Become the dancer you’ve always wanted to be…’

We are a non-competition school with our ethos firmly placed in inclusion, fun and building each dancer up. This isn’t just down to the teachers and staff; this is down to you and every dancer in the Academy. Be the person you would like to meet on your first day.

As a Social Enterprise we aim to bring Irish Dance to everyone. This means we perform and deliver workshops free of charge to schools and community groups.
Our Award Winning Performance Irish Dance Team, Siamsoir, perform at professional events bringing innovative and entertaining Irish Dance to every event. We also host workshops, parties and team building experiences.

After St Patrick’s Season (Jan to March) we take a break and start classes after the Easter Holidays. We start the season with a watch party where we get together to watch the DVD of the St Patrick’s Celebration Concert.
With the pressure off its time to focus on our fitness, technique and repertoire so expect lots of drills and new fun choreography. We end this term appearing in the Leith Festival Tattoo at the end of June and hosting an end of season ceilidh for all members of TIDA, friends and family. This ceilidh is also in aid of MND, Scotland.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.

We are not in the business trying to keep unused booked and paid for spaces as happy dancers have always been our best advertising! However, we reserve the right to decide. In cancellation circumstances, we require at least 24 hrs notice.
