Emotional and Behavioural Support Workshops
2 x full-day sessions (9.30am - 2.30pm)
Aimed at: teaching assistants whose primary role is to provide 1:1 emotional and behavioural support to pupils

Our Emotional and Behaviour Support Workshops offer focused training and advice on how to provide support to pupils with a range of emotional and behavioural needs. Each workshop will be delivered by a specialist in the field and will provide a balance of theoretical background with hands-on activities designed to equip participants with tried and tested strategies that they can take back to their schools. On each day, participants will be able to participate in three workshops on a diverse range of subjects.

Please note the workshops are the same as those included with the Introduction to Providing 1:1 Support Programme

Therapeutic Support

Day 1 - 15th February 2019, Beechwood Junior School, 9.30am - 2.30pm emotional and behavioural support workshops on a range of subjects:
• Managing Challenging Behaviour
• Motivation;
• Choice of: Growth Mindsets OR Bereavement

Day 2 - 8th March 2019, Beechwood Junior School, 9.30am - 2.30pm emotional and behavioural support workshops on a range of subjects:
• Autism
• Attachment
• Choice of Therapeutic Support OR ADHD

The workshops will be delivered in partnership by SLE’s from across the Alliance and Educational Psychologists from Southampton City Council.
