Details

Leading Phonics and Early Reading at EYFS and Key Stage 1 Programme
5 x half-day sessions

Aimed at: English Subject Leaders, Year Leaders and Phase Leaders at EYFS and Key Stage 1

Reading is of fundamental importance at EYFS and Key Stage 1 yet there is little guidance available on how teachers can juggle the needs of phonics, fluency and comprehension among young children at different stages of development. This programme aims to support school leaders and senior teachers to develop effective provision that will raise attainment and accelerate reading progress at EYFS and KS1. There will be a gap task to be completed between each of the sessions.
