CMHLI - Responding to Trauma in Early Childhood

Details

Trauma at any stage in life can have severe impacts on all aspects of a person's health and well-being, but developmental trauma has its own unique impacts and effects. This is due to the influence trauma has on a child's still-developing brain and body as well as the fact that developmental trauma often occurs within a child's primary caregiving system. A special condensed version of our full day training in hour of National Child Day, this three-hour session will build on the morning session Sciences of Hope and Resilience by exploring a variety of strategies for responding to and supporting children who may be experiencing trauma.
