🚤 Island Swim Adventure by Boat 🚤

Details

Explore the smaller islands of Lewis on our 8 passenger 8.5m RIB "Keava" for a 3 hour remote island RIB swim adventure departing from Breasclete pier on the west side of Lewis. Options to hire all equipment are available.

TRIP DETAILS
Trips will consist of a scenic fast boat ride to an uninhabited island where our experienced swim guides will lead you on a remote cold water swimming experience in the turquoise waters surrounding these islands. The swim will be leisurely in nature but you will be out of depth at times swimming around rocks exploring. We don't swim far from the beach and there will always be a guide in the water with you with the boat will nearby. After your swim you can choose to get changed into dry clothes or keep your wetsuit on for a 2nd dip before we depart. You will have the opportunity to explore the island(s) by foot after your swim.

ISLAND DESTINATIONS
Little Bernera - a 30 min scenic tour in search of dolphins and wildlife before arriving in the turquoise lagoon of Traigh Mhor on Little Bernera. Here you will disembark either directly into the water or we can take you in for a beach landing before your first swim form one beach to another. We will then guide you on a short walk across the island to the scenic Temple Bay where an old graveyard overlooks the unspoilt white sands. Here you can choose to explore further, sit on the beach admiring the beauty or have a 2nd dip before we return to Breasclete pier (10-15 minute return journey). You will have an hour on the island after the first swim to explore either or all of these options.

Pabbay Mor (Uig) - a 30 min scenic tour in search of dolphins and wildlife before arriving in the sheltered and turquoise lagoon between Pabbay Mor and Pabbay Beag. Here you will disembark either directly into the water or we can take you in for a beach landing before your first swim around the lagoon and you can swim from the beach. After your swim you will be shown the best bits to explore (natural arch) or you can choose to sit on the beach admiring the beauty or having lunch. You can have a 2nd dip if you like before we return to Breasclete pier (20 minute return journey). You will have an hour on the island after the first swim to explore either or any of those options. You will need sturdy shoes for walking on Pabbay.

*Scarp/Taransay - on request only
