Details

We are delighted to have Borderlands First Aid deliver their fantastic two day outdoor first aid course for us on 18 and 19 September 2021, comprising of Forest School First Aid and Paediatric First Aid. The course will take place at our site at Hailey Wood, between Cirencester and Stroud. We will be outdoors for the whole duration of the course, no matter the weather.

Information from Borderlands First Aid:
Gain two qualifications in one on this course tailored to Forest School and early years outdoors settings. The forest school first aid course has been specially developed for practitioners who require both an outdoor specific and paediatric first aid qualification.

FOREST SCHOOL FIRST AID
The 16 hour ITC Award in Forest School First Aid takes paediatric first aid into the outdoors. The course has been designed with the Forest School sector in mind. We use relevant scenarios throughout the course, making it a practical, hands-on experience. Outdoor-specific elements of the course include hypothermia, heat related illness and casualty monitoring whilst awaiting help.

PAEDIATRIC FIRST AID
Early years staff are likely to need a paediatric first aid qualification in addition to an outdoor course. That’s why we combine the 12 hour level 3 Paediatric First Aid qualification with the Forest School course. This course includes training and practical assessment in first aid for infants and children, so it meets the regulatory requirements of OFSTED, ESTYN and CIW for early years settings. The Millie’s Mark accreditation scheme also recognises our paediatric first aid qualification, so you can work towards the gold standard in first aid cover for pre-school settings.
