This weekend course covers the Irish Sailing National Powerboat Certificate course to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to safely, and effectively, skipper an open powerboat, by day, on inland and coastal waters with which they are familiar.
The course is limited to 3 participants and runs from 9:30 - 17:00 Saturday & Sunday. This course is open to anyone over the age of 16.
Powerboats can be wet! Please bring full wet-weather clothing (both trousers & jacket) and waterproof boots. Dress warmly. Depending on the conditions, bring SPF and a warm hat or cap. Bring water, lunch and snacks for each of the 2 day course. A personal floatation device will be provided or you can supply your own.
A notebook and pen will be handy for note-taking. Some handouts will also be provided and a reading/preparation list is included in the attachment.
