BLUE SERENGETI

This expedition takes place on-board the Aurora Boreal catamaran.
A purely sailing survey over the abyss of the Emile Baudot Escarpment, zooming into the open sea ecosystem, tracking whales, dolphins, turtles, devil rays and seabirds.
Eight days on-board the Aurora Boreal catamaran, a modern age « Kon Tiki » that was used to design five Marine Protected Areas around the islands of Cabrera, Malta and Gozo between 2013 and 2017. Your Principal Investigator will be Ric, with Captains Kiko and Anna sailing the vessel. This expedition is for those volunteers who want to experience getting lost and drifting with turtles and jellyfish away from land, listen for whales on the hydrophone and observing the ecosystem in detail, from the tiniest plankton to the largest sperm whale and majestic giant devil rays.
