Bike Park 101

Saturday, 17 February '18   10am - 12:30pm
Skyline Rotorua

The Joyride Bike Park 101 course is designed to get you riding smoothly at the bike park. Riding Park is faster to riding single track so we teach you the skills you need to master this style of riding.

Once we've dialled body position and braking, we’ll head up into the park and get you flowing around those corners. If you are new to riding in a bike park, or mountain biking in general, then we recommend you start with this course.

What is included?:

  • 2.5 hours skills instruction
  • unlimited use of the gondola during the skills course
  • a 15 run Skyline Rotorua pass to keep and use at your leisure after the course.

What we will cover:

  • Use of the gondola
  • Body position
  • Braking
  • Cornering
  • Pumping (pressure control)

Terms and Conditions
By signing up, you agree to the following:

  • Please be at the base station no later than 15mins before your course is due to start.
  • Identify yourself to the Joyride instructor (black shirt with yellow Joyride logo) and sign in.
  • Please make sure all your riding gear is good to go (bike, helmet and other gear)

What about the Weather and your Refund Policy?
Joyride courses at Skyline Rotorua run when the bike park is open for riding. So as long the weather is good enough for bikes to be allowed onto the gondola, then we will be riding.

If the gondola closes for bike operations we may issue a refund of up to one third of the session price. You still get to keep your Skyline Rotorua pass with your 15 runs to use in your own time.
