A NOURISHING DAY RETREAT INCLUDING:
• Storytelling by the fire or in the garden - depending on the weather
• Gentle, mindful movement to help your body to relax
• Guided meditation (no experience necessary) and relaxation to help you settle into a reflective, listening mode of being
Karin and Lee invite you to The Quiet View, a magical place in the Kent countryside for a day retreat with gentle, mindful movement, relaxation, meditation and storytelling by the fire.
At this time of year, with spring in full flow, the days are lengthening and our energies increasing. What will we do with the light and the energy available? We may have a lot of choice in terms of what we wish to nurture and grow over spring and summer. It is a great time to reflect on what is important. What do you want to be able to harvest by autumn? With that in mind, we will be telling and sharing the story of The Three Cauldrons. This story can help us to reflect deeply on many of life's questions: What do you wish to nurture? Who are your teachers? What gold do you have at your disposal? How are you looking after your gold?
After the story, you’ll have some time to reflect on its meaning for you, and what you might take home from the story to inform your life.
The day is designed to be a retreat from the busyness of your daily life and to prepare you to go back to your life refreshed and restored.
We wil be very cosy inside the Mongolian yurt at The Quiet View, with a woodburner for warmth. Depending on the weather, we may go outside for some walking meditation in the beautiful gardens. Please bring your yoga mat and a blanket if you can (some mats and blankets will be available to borrow), and a packed lunch. We will provide coffee, tea and biscuits.
