Silver Bangle Taster Class

Saturday, 5 March '22   10am – 2pm GMT
Kingham Jewellery School, 15b Langston Priory Workshops, Kingham, Chipping Norton, OX7 6UP
Silver Bangle Taster Class

This taster class introduces beginners to basic traditional silver jewellery making techniques. It's an ideal class to join if you have little to no silver jewellery making experience.

You will become familiar with a range of jewellery making tools to create your bangle such as a piercing saw and a polishing motor. You will create surface texture using a texturing hammer and learn how to solder using a jewellers torch.

On completion of the class you will have a basic understanding of working with silver and a beautiful sterling silver bangle ready to wear!

We run a very friendly and relaxed workshop and this class is a great starting point for working in silver and a perfect introduction to the world of jewellery making. Our taster classes are an ideal way to try something new and see if you enjoy it, we’re sure you will!

The silver to make one bangle is included in the cost of this course, (approximately £25 of silver). If you would like to make more than one bangle, time permitting, you may purchase additional silver from the jewellery school on the day of your class.

You Will Learn

  • How to form
  • About annealing

  • How to saw
  • About soldering
